Hosting and MC'ing is the same craft turned outward: reading a room, holding its attention, and shifting tone the moment it's needed. Every event has a different room and a different job to do. A wedding needs warmth and restraint. A company Christmas party needs energy and comic timing. A sporting event needs pace and clarity under pressure.
