Is This For You?

Who this is for.
And who it isn't.

This is for you if

  • You keep running the same patterns and want structured, 1:1 support to choose differently
  • You want practical work on habits and behaviour, delivered online, no minimum commitment

This isn't for you if

  • What you're carrying feels deeper or older than a habit or pattern, therapy is likely the better starting point, see the Therapy page

Does this feel familiar?

You know what you
want to change.
You just keep not
changing it.

Most people who come to coaching are not lacking in intelligence or willpower. They are running patterns that made sense once and now do not. These are some of the things Owen hears most.

"I know exactly what I should be doing. I just cannot seem to make myself do it."

On knowing but not changing

"I keep ending up in the same situations with different people. There must be something I am doing."

On repeating patterns

"I have great intentions every week. Then life takes over and nothing shifts."

On habits that do not stick

"I talk myself out of things before I have even started. I do not know why."

On self-limiting thought patterns

"I feel like I am reacting to life rather than choosing it."

On feeling out of control
"You already have the answers. The work is creating the space to hear them."
OWEN · Person-Centred Life Coach

This is not about willpower.

Patterns become habitual because they serve a function, often one that made complete sense at some earlier point. Person-centred coaching does not judge them. It helps you understand them clearly enough to make a genuine choice about whether to keep them.

How It Works

Not a programme.
A process.

Person-centred coaching follows your lead, not a fixed curriculum. The three phases below describe how the work typically unfolds, though it will always move at your pace.

Phase One

Understand the Pattern

Before anything can change, it needs to be seen clearly. Owen helps you map the habit, thought or behaviour with curiosity rather than judgement, including what it might be doing for you that you have not consciously noticed.

Phase Two

Challenge the Story

Most patterns are held in place by a narrative. In this phase you begin to examine those beliefs directly, asking which ones are actually true, which were inherited, and which simply no longer fit who you are now.

Phase Three

Build Something Better

With clarity about what is not working and why, you design habits and behaviours that genuinely fit your life, your values and how you actually want to show up. Owen supports this between sessions as much as within them.

Owen, Life Coach at We Are Delphi
"The most useful thing I do is create a space where you can actually hear yourself think."

Your Coach

Hi. I am Owen.
ICF trained.
Person-Centred
by conviction.

I completed my coach training through an ICF-accredited programme and work with a Person-Centred approach, which means I believe you already have the capacity for change, and that my job is to help you access it rather than prescribe it.

I am also a trained actor with over 15 years of professional experience, which means I have spent my career understanding how human beings think, feel, behave and change under pressure. That understanding runs through everything I do as a coach.

How many sessions will I need?

There is no fixed number. Some people find a handful of sessions gives them the clarity and tools they need. Others prefer to work together over several months. Owen will give you an honest view after the intro call, and you are never locked into a commitment you did not agree to.

The intro call is free, takes around 20 minutes, and is simply a conversation to see whether this feels like the right fit. No pressure, no pitch.

★★★★★
"Really useful session. Owen focused in on the stuff I actually wanted help with rather than running through a generic script. The follow up write up was super useful with breathing, jaw and vocal warm ups, plus learning tips I had not heard before. Would highly recommend to anyone nervous about presenting or wanting to be sharper on their feet."

"Owen is clearly extremely experienced and competent. He brings a high level of warmth, fun and professionalism to all of our sessions that meet me where I am as a speaker and performer. He has effortlessly found my weak points and created activities to strengthen them. I would not hesitate to recommend Owen wholeheartedly."

Questions

Things people ask before booking

What is person-centred life coaching?

Person-centred coaching puts you at the heart of the process. Rather than being given a plan to follow, you are supported to find your own answers, at your own pace, in a space that is genuinely non-judgmental. Owen draws on ICF-accredited training and person-centred principles to help you understand what is getting in your way and what you actually want instead.

How is this different from therapy?

Coaching is forward-focused. Rather than exploring the roots of past experiences in depth, it is concerned with where you are now, where you want to be, and what is standing in the way. If you are looking for deeper therapeutic work, We Are Delphi also offers IFS and EMDR trained therapy with Rebecca. Owen will always tell you honestly which might serve you better.

What kind of things do people bring to sessions?

People come with all sorts. Common themes include feeling stuck in habits that are not serving them, noticing recurring patterns in how they think, relate or respond under pressure, wanting more clarity about what they actually want, and feeling like there is a gap between who they are and who they want to be. You do not need a neatly formed problem to begin.

How much does a session cost?

Sessions are £55 each, delivered one-to-one via Zoom. The free introductory call is exactly that, free, with no obligation to continue.

How many sessions will I need?

That depends entirely on what you are working on and how the process feels. Some people find a handful of sessions gives them the clarity and tools they need. Others prefer an ongoing relationship. Owen will give you an honest view after the intro call, and you are never locked in to a set number.

Do sessions work online?

Yes, all sessions are via Zoom. This works well in practice because you can be in your own space, which often makes it easier to think clearly and speak honestly. Owen works with clients across the UK and internationally.

Who might this not be the right fit for?

If you are looking for a quick fix or someone to hand you a script to follow, this is not it. Person-centred coaching works because you do the thinking, between sessions as well as in them. It works best for people who are genuinely willing to examine what is not working and commit to trying something different, even when that is uncomfortable.

Are you LGBTQ+ friendly?

Yes. We believe support should be for anyone and everyone. You are welcome here.

You might also find useful

Life coaching often overlaps with other work.

Clients working on life direction and habits are often also navigating something more specific alongside it. If any of these sound familiar, they're worth a look too.

The first step is just a conversation.

Tell Owen where you are and what you are hoping to shift. He will tell you honestly whether this is the right fit, and what working together would actually look like.
