Does this sound familiar?
It is not always the big presentations that do the most damage. Sometimes it is the ordinary moments. The ones that should have been fine.
These are the things Owen hears most often. If any of this sounds like the last few months, you are in the right place.
"The words get caught in my throat. I know what I want to say and something stops it coming out."
On losing the thought before it arrives"I feel like I am boring people. I can see it happening. And the more I notice it, the worse it gets."
On losing the room while still speaking"The adrenalin takes over and I talk too fast. I can hear it. I just cannot stop it."
On the body running ahead of you"I forget what I am going to say and then I waffle. I know everyone can tell."
On going blank and not recovering cleanly"I am scared to get up in front of people. Not of the content. Of being seen."
On the fear underneath the fear"I let others speak because I do not know how to get a word in edgeways."
On staying silent when you had something worth saying"All the world's a stage. And most of us are terrified of it."OWEN · Public Speaking Coach · We Are Delphi
It is a physical one. When the stakes go up, your nervous system fires before your brain gets involved. The result:
You cannot think your way out of a physical state. But you can train the body to respond differently. That is what Owen does.

Owen works with your actual material in the session. Not invented scenarios. The real thing you need to get right.
Results You Can Expect
These are the specific outcomes clients notice after working with Owen. Not vague improvements in confidence. Concrete, observable changes in how they show up.
The pitch that rises under pressure. The pace that doubles when you are nervous. The voice that goes flat when the room feels hostile. These are physical habits. Owen changes them.
Specific techniques to interrupt the blank-out response in real time. Find your thread. Keep going. Before anyone in the room knows what happened.
An audience reads your body before they process what you are saying. If your body signals uncertainty, your content works against itself. Owen works on the physical from the ground up.
A supported voice and a held presence create a way of speaking that carries authority without volume. The difference is felt before it is heard.
Working live on your script or text in the session. Line by line until it sounds like it came from you, not from a page. Train with a pro to deliver like a pro.
Your Coach
I trained at East 15 Acting School and at the Ecole Internationale de Theatre Jacques Lecoq in Paris. I spent nearly two decades performing in immersive theatre, on stage, and in live events, and ran my own theatre company.
I have had bad nights on stage. Lost the room. Forgotten lines. Had everything go wrong in front of a paying audience. What I learned is not in any coaching framework. It is something you only get by doing it, doing it badly, and coming back.
I built this to put nearly two decades of that experience to work for people who need it. All sessions are online. I work with people across the UK.

Questions
No. The vast majority of Owen's clients have no performance background at all. The techniques Owen uses come from actor training but they are entirely transferable to anyone who needs to communicate more effectively under pressure.
Yes, completely. All sessions are via Zoom. Owen works with clients across the UK and internationally. The online format works well for this kind of coaching because you can record sessions easily and review them between appointments.
Yes. Even a single session can make a significant difference to a specific piece. Owen will focus entirely on what you need for that event. Many clients who book for a single session come back for more.
Nerves and technique are not separate problems. Nerves almost always have a physical component that technique addresses directly. Owen works on the body first, which is often what calms the mind.
Owen is a conservatoire-trained actor with nearly two decades of professional performance experience. He teaches from the body up rather than the slide deck down. The work is physical, specific, and based on real performance training rather than presentation theory.
It depends on where you are starting and what you are preparing for. Some clients work intensively before a specific event. Others build a longer-term practice. Owen will give you an honest view of what he thinks will serve you best after an initial session.
