A trained actor,

I trained as an actor at two of the world's leading drama schools, East 15 and Lecoq, and I am an award-winning performer with years of professional experience on stage. None of that is the point of a wedding speech. All of it is exactly why I am good at helping you give one.

The techniques I use to walk on stage in front of strangers are the same ones that help someone stand up in front of family and friends and actually enjoy it. I have helped people right through the whole process, from staring at a blank page, to rehearsing until it feels natural, to standing up on the day with real, settled confidence.

Things people ask before booking

I have never written or given a speech before. Can you still help?

Yes, most clients have never done this before. Owen will help you from a blank page, finding the stories and the structure that actually sound like you, then build your confidence to deliver it through rehearsal.

I can say it fine on my own, but my mind goes blank in front of people. Why?

This is extremely common and is about nerves, not ability. Owen uses proven acting techniques to work on this directly, breath, grounding and rehearsal under realistic conditions, so what you can do in private holds up in the room.

I hate the sound of my own voice. Will that be a problem?

No, and you are far from alone in feeling this way. Part of the work is building a more comfortable relationship with your own voice, understanding it as an instrument you can shape and trust, rather than something to get through.

How far in advance should I book?

As early as you can, ideally several weeks before the wedding, so there is time to write, refine and properly rehearse. That said, Owen can also work with shorter notice if needed, get in touch and he will be honest about what is realistic.

Do sessions work online?

Yes, completely. All sessions are via Zoom, anywhere in the UK or internationally. This works well because you can rehearse in your own space and record sessions to revisit before the big day.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on where you are starting and how much time there is before the wedding. Some clients need one focused session, others want a few across writing, rehearsal and final delivery. Owen will give you an honest view after the free intro call.
